2016-17 SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY

 

The Booster Board works hard every year to generate funds for

our school, students and community.  This past year we provided

the following items and/or service.  

 

RIDGEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL (RHS):

• Lathe for Metal Shop

• Robotics Club

• Senior Merit Scholarships

• STEM 3D printer and supplies

• Computers for STEM science program

• Spudder Bucks (student recognition)

• Annual Teacher Appreciation Week

• Coordinated “New Student Welcome Program” with the ASB.

• Funded security cameras to improve student safety.

• Coordinate and run concession stands.

• Funded repair on pole vault pit.

• HUDL Application for Football

• Cheerleading Mats

• Digital Media Board in Gym

• Per Diem allowance for all state bound student athletes.

• Purchased new American Flag for RHS Stadium.

• Help facilitate Eagle Scout projects on RSD properties.

• Hospitality at events as needed.

 

VIEW RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL (VRMS):

• Rebel Bucks (student recognition)

• Annual Teacher Appreciation Week

• Funded security cameras to improve student safety.

• Discretionary Funds

• Annually provides hospitality and volunteers for Back to School Ice Cream Social.

• Coordinate and run concession stands.

• Hospitality at events as needed.

• Annually provides fundraising opportunities outside of ASB to help strengthen individual programs.

 

THE COMMUNITY OF RIDGEFIELD:

• Experience Ridgefield

• Purchase and create apparel to foster community pride.

• Annually supports local events and organizations such as Ridgefield Port Community Picnic, Lions Club and Ridgefield School Foundation with auction basket donations and volunteer help.

• Fund and create a yearly 4th of July Float.
